NATL Attend conference

November 2013 saw our Chairman Jason Taylor and Exam Coordinator Eddie Harper attend the ASNT Fall conference in Las Vegas. Jason and Eddie represented the NATL Section at many of the committee meetings as well as visiting the largest trade exhibition in ASNT's history. Jason said " I see this as a vital way for the NATL to stay informed of new initiatives, and make sure that the NATL Section's interests are recognised. ASNT Has the power to effect how we do business in our day jobs, so its important that they are reminded that policies that make perfect sense within the USA may not elsewhere in the world, as we are working under different legislative frameworks".
Jason also commented "The presentations given were of such a high standard it was often difficult to decide which to attend. In one instance I was intending to attend the plenary address and then move into the other presentation room for the next talk, but I found the work done, and the presentations given by Ricky Morgan and the others who worked on the Las Vegas High Roller (Dont call it a Ferris Wheel) see picture, that I stayed in that for the whole series. It was unfortunate that the speaker for the talk on comparisons between different qualification systems didn't show up as that has a lot of relevance for our section".
